About Me

Hello and welcome to my homepage! I’m Duc-Anh Pham, currently a master’s student at Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology (TUAT), conducting research in the Nakajo Laboratory. I graduated from Hanoi University of Science and Technology, School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Hanoi, Vietnam, with a focus on Embedded Systems and IoT (Elitech K64 Aug 2019 – May 2023). I have one year of experience working in the field of 4G/5G networks, specifically focusing on the physical layer, alongside strong skills in embedded systems and microelectronics. My career path is driven by a passion for in-depth research in edge AI and deep learning, particularly in the area of quantization. I have practical experience working on applications involving classification, detection, and segmentation deployed on embedded boards such as Raspberry Pi and Jetson Nano. My mission is to connect and contribute globally to advanced AI systems development.

Research Interests

My research is dedicated to developing efficient and adaptive optimization techniques tailored for edge devices, with a particular emphasis on drastically reducing the complexity of deep learning models to enhance real-time performance and energy efficiency. Currently, I am focused on exploring quantization methods, specifically binary quantization, applied to computer vision models, with the ambition to extend these approaches to large language models (LLMs) in the near future. Beyond this, I am eager to broaden my research horizons into various facets of machine learning related to LLMs, information security, and the innovative application of federated learning architectures within robotic environments and manufacturing optimization. My ultimate goal is to bridge cutting-edge AI research with practical, real-time systems that demand both intelligence and efficiency.
